GDC Celebrates 5 Years of Non-Stop IT Service Desk Support

In September 2005, Global Data Consultants (GDC) launched their 24/7 Service Desk beginning what has now been 5 years of nonstop IT service desk support with operational hours 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The initial call volume at the center in 2005 was in excess of 2,000 calls monthly with the capacity to expand the Call Center to meet any client’s need. During the last 5 years, GDC reports that the Service Desk has successfully handled over a half million calls for their clients.
The GDC Service Desk supports organizations in the Manufacturing and Healthcare industries as well as over 200 small businesses in the four-state region. The center’s technicians respond to Help Desk phone calls, e-mails, instant messages, and voice messages from all over the world, including North America, South America, Europe, the Paciﬁc Rim and Australia. Desk side, on-site, support is provided regionally to clients and GDC has partnered with clients to provide assistance internationally.
