GDC Leadership Luncheon to Benefit Red Cross
GDC made a $10,000 donation to the American Red Cross for their much-needed aide in Franklin County.
Chambersburg, Pennsylvania — February 17, 2010
Global Data Consultants, LLC (GDC), a leading provider of information technology in Central Pennsylvania, sponsored a Leadership Luncheon for the Franklin County Chapter of the American Red Cross in conjunction with a Blood Drive on February 19th, 2010. The primary goal was to assist the Red Cross in increasing awareness and education to the community and business leaders on the local Red Cross’ ongoing life-saving efforts in Franklin County.
“The Red Cross does great work around the world and across the United States. Today we came together to focus on their mission of service to the citizens of Franklin County. As we have seen as recently as during the blizzard of last week, we are blessed to have a thriving chapter of the Red Cross, made possible by the generosity of private citizens and business partners like GDC,” commented State Representative Rob Kauffman.
“The Red Cross provides a critical service in our communities by ensuring that individuals receive the assistance they need in times of crisis. We are fortunate to have a number of dedicated individuals serving in our local chapter in Franklin County and other chapters throughout the region to meet the needs of our communities,” stated Senator Alloway.
Since Tom Reardon, Executive Director of the Franklin County Chapter of the American Red Cross, has taken office in 2007, the chapter has worked diligently to expand Red Cross Services to Franklin County Residents. “The Franklin County Chapter of the American Red Cross was grateful to be given the opportunity by Global Data Consultants to share our services and message with so many community leaders today. We are working to ensure every Franklin County Resident is aware of the lifesaving services we provide from Blood and Disaster Services to Health & Safety Services and Services to Armed Forces. Global Data Consultants’ generous donation will help to ensure we are able to carry on our mission and ensure high quality services to all the Franklin County Residents we serve,” Tom Reardon, Executive Director, Franklin County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
At the end of the Red Cross presentation, Gregory Courtney, President & CEO of GDC, made a $10,000 donation to the American Red Cross for their much-needed aide in Franklin County. “During these economic times it is important not to forget that the needs of the community still exist. We at GDC, are pleased to be able to provide assistance to the Franklin County Chapter of the American Red Cross in support of our local community,” commented Gregory Courtney.
